The Cyber Security Analyst joining our team will be able to provide security insights and guidance, accurate reporting, and empower team members to take an active role in reducing security risks to the program that exist worldwide.
Job Summary
- Investigates, analyzes, and responds to incidents within both the technology and business processes
- Develops and updates all Security Incident reports in accordance with customer security requirements
- Identifies security risks and exposures, determines the causes of security violations, and suggests procedures to minimize future incidents and improve security
- Conducts vulnerability routine scanning, provides formal and informal reports to IT team and tracks remediation efforts
- Reviews, tracks, and maintains security related risks to both technology and business processes and provides regular reports and mitigation recommendations.
- Is knowledgeable about both GDIT and customer specific security policies and procedures and provides timely responses to security related inquiries from members of the global team
- Maintains staffing updates and security clearance information and provides monthly reporting per the contract.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED:
? Education : BA/BS or equivalent
? Required Experience : 2+ years of experience
? Required Technical Skills : ability to read audit logs and interpret system audit logs, Security+ Certification or the ability to obtain within 6 months of hire
? Security Clearance Level : Ability to obtain Public Trust Clearance
? Required Skills and Abilities: customer and detail-oriented with good problem-solving ability, excellent written and verbal communication skills, Proficient with the MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access)
? Preferred Skills: experiences with at least one vulnerability scanning tool (Inspector, Nessus, Nexpose Rapid 7, etc.)
