They have an exciting career opportunity available for an individual with at least 3 years of customer service-related work experience (preferably in a manufacturing or distribution environment).

Successful candidates will be punctual, self-motivated, and have great communication skills. Must show a willingness to assist customers throughout the ordering process.

Must be able to communicate effectively with other departments, sales staff, vendors, etc., as that will be an essential function of the daily job.

Duties + Responsibilities

Customer Service/Sales Support - Coordinate with customers, enter and process orders via email, answer phone calls and greet (walk-in) customers or suppliers.

Your goal will be to provide a high level of customer service as you will be engaging the customer base daily and will be the communication link to the plant personnel as orders are managed through the system.

Cold calling customers
Following up with current customers
Drive new business
Develop relationship with current customersAnswer, screen, and direct all incoming phone calls as needed.
Coordinate with coworkers to ensure phone and office coverage as needed.
Respond to customer inquiries and provide timely resolution. Communicate with appropriate departments to secure necessary information and prompt action as needed.
Enter and modify sales orders in and timely and accurate manner.

Run management exceptions report and end-of-day to review orders and ensure accuracy of pricing.
Interpret and share customer feedback within the organization to continue improving performance.
Utilize existing software and systems in an efficient manner.
Maintain an organized, presentable work area.
Daily communication with customers to expedite orders, special requests, and coordinate with scheduling/production.

Desired Qualifications

Excellent communication and customer service skills
Minimum of 3 years' relevant work experience preferably in a manufacturing or distribution environment
High school diploma or equivalent
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to multitask and adjust workflow to meet times of increased demand
Packaging and/or corrugated manufacturing experience desired but not required
Intermediate PC skills with knowledge of Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint
Experience with Manufacturing ERP software or similar preferred
Ability to work independently or as a member of a team
Strong initiative - process and procedure oriented
Ability to maintain a professional appearance and demeanor
Accountability and reliability are the two biggest attributes that our client looks for
