Assessment and Authorization Security Engineer, Mid
Key Role:
Develop and implement security solutions in alignment with security strategy. Maintain an awareness of market and technology trends to bring best of breed solutions to the client. Apply specific functional knowledge and working and general industry knowledge. Develop or contributes to solutions to a variety of problems of moderate scope and complexity. Work independently with some guidance, and review or guide activities of more junior employees.
Basic Qualifications:
- 8+ years of experience with Cybersecurity
- 8+ years of experience with performing technical security assessments, including vulnerability assessments, security control reviews, and system configuration checks to support NIST RMF for A&A
- 3+ years of experience with planning and executing comprehensive Cybersecurity test events, including identifying security controls, analyzing assessment procedures, and identification, and using required tools, including Retina, Nessus, Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS), or Security Content Automation Protocol (SCAP)
- Experience with performing manual testing methods and procedures using STIGs, SRGs, and checklists
- TS/SCI clearance
- Bachelor’s degree
- IA Workforce 8570 Certification, including Security+ or CISSP Certification
Additional Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience with supporting the DoD and DHS in the implementation or assessment of Cybersecurity controls
- 3+ years of experience with DoD and DHS systems
- Experience with performing Cybersecurity risk assessments and mitigation
- Experience with testing DoD and DHS systems
- Experience with using Microsoft Operating Systems
- Experience with RHEL Operating environments
Clearance:
Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; TS/SCI clearance is required.
