Provide EHS support to ensure all practices are compliant with regulatory health and safety requirements throughout the US. This will include employee training and tracking, hazard assessment development support, program development support, statistical tracking, inspections, investigations and worker compensation.

HERE'S WHAT YOU WILL DO:



  • Manage and maintain client databases internally and externally to include: ISNetworld/DISA/PEC/Avetta/ProcessMAP

  • Assist managers in providing new-employee and sub-contractor health and safety orientations

  • Update employee training records

  • Assist in updating safety training material

  • Ensures visitor and contractor management procedures are followed

  • Support development of safety bulletins and presentations

  • Maintain safety statistics and communicate as required

  • Support audits, internal or external

  • Conduct formal and informal facility and equipment inspections

  • Create and establish worker's compensation processes at each facility to include identifying clinics, urgent care facilities or other practices to handle work-related injuries

  • Organize incident investigations and ensure corrective actions are taken

  • Work with Human Resources as it relates to employee injuries or illness

  • Intervene and correct unsafe work practices

  • Keep records of all safety related issues within the organization and prepare OSHA 300/301 logs

  • Participate in development of hazard assessments

  • Participate in Health and Safety Program review and continuous improvement




YOUR QUALIFICATIONS WILL INCLUDE:



  • Two or more years of directly related experience; previous manufacturing experience would be preferred

  • Experience handling workers compensation claims and maintaining, reporting and posting of OSHA 300/301 logs

  • Knowledge of local city, state and federal laws as they pertain to each facility; recognize compliance and risk issues

  • Thorough knowledge safety training programs within a manufacturing setting along with the ability to conduct training on areas of forklift safety, overhead crane training, workplace safety, PPE and other safety programs

  • Proficient with MS Office Suite

  • Superior organizational and time management skills; ability to meet deadlines

  • High energy and a 'can do' attitude, creating a consistent health and safety culture





EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE YOU'LL POSSESS:



  • B.S. degree in Environmental Health and Safety; three to five years of directly related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience




ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS THAT WILL SET YOU APART:



  • Experience within a manufacturing setting is preferred

  • OSHA certification(s)





WILL I NEED TO TRAVEL:


Yes. You can expect to travel from 25-50% of your time to visit other facilities as necessary or required.
