Fords Advance Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) program uses technology to tackle the human problems of driving and make it safer, easier, and more enjoyable. Our team crafts and develops hardware, functional models, and software for outstanding performance on features like Adaptive Cruise Control, Automatic Emergency Braking, Cross Traffic Alert, Active Park Assist and 360 Camera Systems. What you will be able to do:



In this position you will be responsible for delivering key full stack web visualization software solutions in the development of autonomous vehicle technologies in the Ford ADAS Autonomy Team. Demonstrated knowledge and experience with delivering 3D visualization software solutions is required. This role involves designing and implementing core software tools and frameworks for visualizing autonomous vehicle sensor and process data. You’d be part of a dedicated team focused on executing cutting edge web solutions and integrating those into production vehicles.



Responsibilities:




  • Work closely with the Ford ADAS Autonomy Team to deliver web solutions that increase the productivity of the development of autonomous vehicle systems


  • Deliver features for visualization tools and frameworks across multiple projects


  • Work closely with end users to ensure that delivered solutions appropriately support all needs




Required Position Qualifications:




  • BS in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical or related field


  • 4+ years of full stack web development experience


  • 2+ years of Full Stack JavaScript in a production environment




Desired Position Qualifications:




  • MS in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical or related field


  • Experience with React/Typescript, HTML/CSS, Node.js, WebSocket, Deck.gl and/or Three.js in a production environment


  • Positive can-do attitude and can adapt to any challenge and willing to take ownership over features and eventually products


  • Familiarity with design patterns/principles, writing reusable components with clean modular patterns, and a dedication to software craftsmanship


  • Strong interpersonal and communications skills


  • Experience with GCP Ecosystem


  • Excited and Passionate about working on self-driving cars!




Bonus Points:




  • Interest in owning the entire product development lifecycle from design to deploy, including proactively gathering requirements, generating design documents, managing product milestones, end user engagement, etc.


  • Familiarity with robotics and autonomous vehicles topics and sensor data


  • Understanding of coordinate transformations, geospatial location, mapping, and applying it to 2D and 3D data, etc.


  • Experience with Google Cloud Platform Ecosystem
