The senior recruiter will source candidates, recruit, retain, and hire mid-level to executive staff, including advanced practitioners and physicians. Responsibilities include developing yearly staffing plans, keeping current on requirements of positions including clinical requirements for clinical positions, participating in recruitment opportunities, and operating within the recruitment budget. 

This position is hybrid, working primarily remote, but must reside in North Texas and be no more than 45 minutes from any of the four offices in Plano, Frisco and McKinney.


RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Working with the HR Director, assists and coordinates the development of a strategic recruitment plan for VHP, including advanced practitioner and physician recruitement plans.
  • Performs initial interview and screening processes to determine candidates’ suitability in VHP’s culture and exhibiting VHP’s core values.
  • Negotiates and extends offers for candidates, including APs and physicians.
  • Researches, coordinates, and participates in conferences, job fairs, and physician recruitment opportunity events.
  • Visits with directors, COO and physicians to understand the position and if necessary, clinical requirements for recruitment purposes.
  • Coordinates recruitment activities with HR personnel.
  • Works with internal marketing team to create and maintain advertising for recruiting efforts.
  • Partners with and provides mentoring to talent acquisition specialist, who focuses on recruiting for staff level positions.
  • Follows all clinical safety protocols and infection control procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned by the HR Director.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must have outstanding communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Exhibits a passion for working in Human Resources/Recruiting, pleasant and professional demeanor with internal and external customers alike.
  • Is a positive team player.
  • Demonstrates solid knowledge of recruiting best practices.
  • Works independently, without tactical instruction. Provides staffing updates to supervisor to keep current on progress.
  • Must have a bachelor’s degree in human resources or related field.
  • Must have at least 3 years of experience recruiting for mid to senior level positions; physician recruiting preferred.
  • High attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills.
  • Has above average proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams), as well as strong experience with internet recruitment tools and applicant tracking systems (JazzHR or other software).
  • Has experience in developing relationships and maintain good communications and relations as the recruiting representative for VHP.
  • Skilled in identifying problems, researching, and recommending solutions.
  • Knowledge of and adherence to HIPAA rules and regulations.
  • Knowledge of and adherence to Bloodborne Pathogen & OSHA Safety procedures.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • Position is hybrid, working primarily remote, but must reside in no more than 45 minutes from our offices in Plano, Frisco, and McKinney
  • Requires regular clinic on-site presence
  • Risk of exposure to hazardous conditions and blood borne pathogens
  • Moderate travel to and from various sites of service
  • May be required to sit or stand for long periods of time
  • Frequent after-hours meeting participation
