Political Campaign Manager

The Democratic Voter Project is looking to hire a political campaign manager and field staffers for a 2023 Democratic special election. The race will be in the greater Pittsburgh, PA area.

Job Description for Campaign Manager:

• Candidate management
• Setting and organizing campaign calendar
• Volunteer and donor coordination
• Event coordination
• Field operations as needed
• Social media management
• Handling other needs of campaign as required

Requirements for Campaign Manager:

• Minimum 2 race experience as campaign staff (targeted swing races preferred)
• Experience with volunteer coordination/candidate management preferred
• Familiarity with fieldwork, communications, fundraising
• Good in high-stress environments
• Able to effectively work with difficult personalities
• Goal-oriented, low ego, team player
• Exceptional organization skills
• Familiarity field operations/door knocking software

Job Description for Field Staffer:

• Door-knocking/phone banking
• Recruit and organize campaign volunteers
• Campaign sign distribution
• Event set up and staffing
• Other needs to be determined by the campaign

Requirements for Field Staffer:

• Outgoing personality
• Timeliness
• Ability to assist in event coordination
• Familiarity with door-knocking software
• Exceptional interpersonal skills
• Able to effectively work with difficult personalities
• Volunteer work on 1-2 previous races preferred

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday
• On call
• Weekend availability

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Pittsburgh, PA: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

Experience:

• political campaign: 1 year (Required)
