Position Summary
The Vice President of Operations, reporting directly to the COO, will be a key contributor to partner with various internal and external groups to execute the long-term strategic roadmap for Customer Service, Collections, Quality Assurance, Presidential Complaints, SCRA, FCRA, and Custom Correspondence.
The candidate will serve as a leader and change agent by driving the various initiatives from idea to implementation. Additionally, the candidate will oversee the project management group to solidify the project scope, identify roles and resource requirements, partner with technology on potential solutions, and define and execute project deliverables.
Summary of Essential Job Functions:
Lead a team to work across both the business and technology groups to ensure solutions delivered align with business needs and the strategic roadmap
Cross-functional role supporting the entire Operations division with a voice into all Credit One Bank
Set objectives, assess capabilities, determine course of action, and formulate initiatives
Oversee the implementation and execution of medium to large-scale initiatives through technology deployments
Prepare comprehensive reports and present findings to executive leadership
Partner with various business owners, process owners, technology, and other support teams to plan and deliver solutions
Prioritize work that needs to be against the capacity and capability of the team
Be proactive in hiring decisions, performance management, and employee development
Ensure project completion with agreed specifications with deadlines
Perform other duties as assigned
Position Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Operations Research, Systems Administration/Design, or related field
7 years of project management and execution
Previous financial services experience preferred
Strong attention to detail and critical thinking skills
Demonstrated experience in driving change with large scale initiatives
Proven experience in working with a large, diverse group of stakeholders
Proven decision-making skills with a proactive communication style
Drive collaborative efforts to advance tools, technology, and ways of working
Proven track record managing and developing a high performing team
Proficient using Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Visio
