What is primary need, technical challenge, and/or problem you will be responsible for?

You will be a part of the Digital Platforms Engineering (DPE) team, working as a Senior Member of Technical Staff with an impactful and highly motivated team of engineers. You will be collaborating with a global team design and implement high quality, testable, maintainable, optimal and production grade software.

You are expected to make significant, direct, and high-quality contributions to the Digital Platforms that lead to increased adoption and a frictionless customer experience.

We are looking for someone who thrives by staying abreast of enterprise grade technologies and is comfortable developing applications on hybrid cloud platforms. As a Senior Member of Technical Staff, you will design, implement, and own key microservices for Digital Engineering platform. Come and help make history as we change the way an enterprise pivots to Subscription and SaaS.

Success in the Role: What are the performance goals over the first 6-12 months you will work toward completing?

• You will partner with Product Managers, Engineering Managers, and architects from multiple global teams to deliver the next generation capabilities for the Digital Engineering Platform
• You will own one or more key components of the platform and ensure their production readiness
• You have a good understanding of Product Development and can comfortably work with agile development processes
• You are passionate about sharing your knowledge and experiences with a collaborative, balanced team
• You enjoy mentoring junior engineers and investing in their success

What type of work will you be doing? What assignments, requirements, or skills will you be performing on a regular basis?

• Solid background in OOP, Object and data modeling
• Deep working knowledge of Java, Spring
• You feel comfortable writing software on one or more programming languages such as Java and Python
• You are familiar with Microservices Architecture
• Understanding of domain driven design
• Working knowledge of NOSQL and relational database (Oracle, MYSQL)
• Working knowledge of software engineering principles, design patterns, and commercial product development practices
• Must have the ability to work in an agile development environment
• Use of Open-Source packages for common capabilities (e.g., log4j, Quartz, ActiveMQ)
• Knowledge of Spring Framework, Spring MVC, spring boot and Hibernate /JPA
• Knowledge of cloud foundry, Kubernetes, dockers
• Working knowledge on CD/CI DevOps processes
• Strong communication Skills
• Assist team members/engineers with best practices and peer reviews

You will be reporting to the Engineering Manager - Digital Platforms Engineering (DPE). You will work closely with your Engineers, Product Owners, Leads, and Architects.
