Job Details:

The Director of Manufacturing Accounting will be the liaison between operations and finance managing a 360,000 square foot beverage facility. This person serves as a key player in SAP 4/Hana transition testing processes and ensuring functionality of those processes.

  • Inventory Management
    • Manage current procedures and practices for the recording of consumption, receipt and transfer of inventory
    • Manage implementation of processes for new business requirements.
    • Review BOM requirements for accuracy.
    • Manage year end physical inventory
  • MFG Variance Reporting & Analysis
    • Analysis production order variances. Work with Ops on explanations and corrections.
    • Initiate corrective action for posting errors or incorrect standard costs.
    • Settle work order absorption variances
  • Direct Labor reporting
    • Determine standard labor rates for all job codes.
    • Review work order labor postings for accuracy. Contact supervisor for corrective action if necessary.
    • Review labor routings for accuracy.
    • Assist with union contract negotiations.
  • Monthly Operations Reporting
    • Provide direct labor analysis comparing standard usage and dollars to actual usage and dollars for each cost center.
    • Provide Cost Center variance reporting and analysis. Conduct monthly review meetings with ops.
    • Provide usage reporting and yield analysis.
    • Provide periodic manufacturing and PPV analysis. Conduct monthly review meetings with operations team.
    • Perform Ad hoc costing analysis and re costing of products.
  • Financial Analysis & Audit
    • Determine cash flow, NPV, IRR and payback period for capital investments.
    • Provide comparative analysis on co-pack versus internal production costs.
    • Assist with monthly COGS and balance sheet variance analysis (pertaining to production).
    • Provide natural condition efficiency variance analysis
    • Provide annual audit inventory reports
    • Provide Annual inventory reports for tax purposes.
    • Provide updated transferred price worksheet, calculation, and related accounting entries
    • Update std costs for copack and Chilean business.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting
    • Conduct quarterly and annual budget meetings with cost center owners.
    • Import production demand into SAP. Perform reconciliation & analysis of volume changes.
    • Assist with standard cost determination. Development of overhead std costs.
    • Provide copack profit or loss statement
  • Customer Co-pack Management
    • Determine appropriate co-pack fee for new co-pack customers. Review process requirements (labor staffing / through put) and supplied materials.
    • Determine system requirements for material transactions/ COGS postings and sales processing.
  • Vendor Co-Pack Management
    • Review and approve vender co-pack fees
    • Provide vender analysis regarding yield and comparative pack fees as required.
    • Determine system requirements and inventory processes.


Qualifications

Require Bachelors in Accounting

Prefer MBA, Masters of Accounting, CMA, or CPA

5-6 Years of Management Accounting background in a manufacturing/production environment
