GDIT has an opportunity for a dynamic Windows System Admin candidate to join our high functioning team of analysts, designers, and developers to deliver outstanding results for our customer. The qualified applicant will become part of GDIT's team to support the Administrative Office of the U.S. Courts (AO) Case Management System Office (CMSO) suite of computer and automated software applications. The CMSO has a mature Agile practice using the SAFe framework and supports a broad range of complex business systems which are instrumental to the AO mission.
• Expert understanding of Windows Server 2016 and/or 2019 as well as Windows 10
•Experience with Microsoft Technologies: Active Directory, Group Policy, Certificate Services, BitLocker, LAPS, WSUS, MDT
•Expert understanding of Windows file and user permissions as well as Role-based access
•Thorough understanding of DNS, DHCP, LDAPS, and Kerberos, etc.
•Monitoring and auditing Windows environments
•Experience with general systems maintenance and patch management
•Hardening Windows environments, for example CIS Controls, etc.
•Managing an Office365 environment
•Working in hybrid environments that leverage Cloud services
•Strong familiarity with PowerShell
•Infrastructure Service System availability, reliability and data-integrity
•Backups and restore
•Install, configure and deploy physical and virtual server
•Assist in updating policies and procedures
•Monitoring and evaluating server performance
•SSL Cert Installation and troubleshooting
•A solid understanding of IT best practices
Communication and Organizational
•Strong, and effective communication, and collaboration skills
•Strong analytical skills and troubleshooting ability
•Strong organizational and documentation skills
•Experience communicating and collaborating with developers, testers, systems engineer, DBAs, scrum masters, business owners and management
•Ability to work with technical writers giving the instructions for SOPs, and other release/operational documents
•Ability to work independently and with various other teams across the organization
•Ability to work with teams that support application (both centralized and distributed)
•Familiarity with the Agile principles and methodology, SAFe Framework
•Strong familiarity with Agile software management tools like Atlassian applications
Qualifications:
•7+ years of experience managing systems and applications running on Windows operating systems.
•Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Programming, Computer Engineering or relevant computer-based major.
•Experience may be considered in lieu of degree
•Perferred:Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator
