Art Gallery Sales Associate

Aesthetic Hawaii is retail art gallery located at the Outrigger Waikiki. We feature art from both well known and new Hawaii artists as well as a number of mainland based artists. This position primarily requires you to guide customers to art that will best suit them. Aesthetic Hawaii is a very laid back and low pressure environment, we work to create an environment where your main focus can be on helping the customer. The store is located within the hotel away from the bustling Waikiki streets. No previous experience is required in either Art or Retail as we will teach you everything that you need to know, although any experience in these areas would definitely be a plus! We are a family owned and operated business and strive to make the work schedule work around your schedule. This position is part time but may become full-time as the company expands. This position is primarily hourly with starting pay at $18 per hour (once fully trained, training rate is $15 per hour, training is around 40 hrs). Once you have been with us for three months the pay increases to $20 an hour. This is a great position for someone that wants to get out and work a bit in a relaxed environment.

Responsibilities

-Completing transactions

-Taking customer details as it relates to sales

-Describing and adding value to the art

-Maintain an organized display as items are sold

-Opening or closing the store

-Tagging new pieces

-Occasionally rearranging display walls
