LandUS Law is looking for an experienced Immigration Paralegal to join our team. A successful candidate will have comprehensive knowledge of the immigration process and laws, and solid experience reviewing, preparing and organizing a variety of USCIS-based petitions and consular processing matters. Our firm has a reputation for excellence in employment-based immigration law, and we are looking for a responsive, detail oriented professional with a commitment to delivering results in a timely manner.

As an Immigration Paralegal, you will be responsible for coordinating in the preparation, filing, and tracking of various visa filings including H-1B, TN, PERM, EB-1A, EB-2, NIW, O-1 and more.

Duties and responsibilities include:

  • Preparing forms, documents and correspondences for Attorney review
  • Providing guidance to team and clients regarding case processing and timelines, troubleshooting
  • Communicating with clients via email, phone and Zoom to keep them informed of case status
  • Calendaring deadlines for petitions and other client filings
  • Organizing and packaging up USCIS petitions
  • Assisting in the preparation of RFEs and NOIDS
  • Scanning, copying and uploading files to our system
  • Researching case law, and other information as it pertains to the preparation of O-1, EB-1 and NIW cases
  • Creating and improving upon internal processes, templates and protocols with Attorney input
  • Tracking the status of applications filed and managing the overall process and timeline
  • Alerting team of any delays in case processing times and trends

Requirements:

  • At least 1-3 years immigration experience in a business/corporate immigration law setting
  • Bachelor's Degree; will also consider AA/paralegal certificate experience
  • Ability to organize yourself and your time in an efficient manner while staying on top of deadlines with minimal supervision
  • Ability to maintain accuracy and pay attention to details, catch errors and review work of others
  • Excellent follow through, strong execution and the ability to close loops
  • Polite and friendly demeanor with strong values and ethics
  • Proficient with Gmail, MS Office, Word, Excel, Dropbox and Adobe PDF
  • Good with machinery and technology - duties will include Scan/Copy, Postage, Indexing, Filing

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 - $32.00 per hour
