In this position, you will be in charge of preparing and consolidating financial statements, analyzing and reconciling accounts, analyzing cash flow, creating budgets and forecasts, and preparing audits, as well as managing internal control maintenance and regulatory reporting. Candidates need to bring strong analytical skills to the role and should be capable of handling challenging, fast-paced work environments. Employees receive solid compensation and benefits. What you get to do every day
- Offer involvement in various department-wide initiatives
- Analyze financial information and report on financial results (trends, performance metrics, benchmarks)
- Aid in coordinating quarterly reviews and testing with internal and external auditors
- Dedication to continuously improve the automation of the accounting and reporting process
- Formulate Balance Sheet account reconciliations
- Coordinate Ad-hoc projects as necessary
- Complete monthly accounting close procedures and deliverables that includes journal entries, reconciliations, and reports in the compensation area in compliance with GAAP
- When working with business partners, ensure compliance with corporate accounting policies, procedures and controls. Additionally, be able to provide support on special requests
- Prepare monthly consolidated P& L and Balance Sheet flux analysis for management reporting
Requirements
- Expertise in Construction Accounting
- Deep understanding of month end closings
- General ledger experience desired
- Financial reporting experience
- Self-driven motivator who takes initiative on projects with a strong ability to understand and solve creative challenges
- Extraordinary analytical, quantitative and social skills
- 3-5 years of overall general accounting experience
- Excellent verbal, written, and social skills
- Attentive, ability to work independently and prioritize tasks
- Ability to prioritize work and balance multiple projects and deadlines
- Ability to prioritize deals and adapt to quick changes while remaining diligent, and to thrive in a dynamic, high pressure environment
- Efficient in ERP systems
- BA/BS in Accounting preferred
- Exceptional time management skills preferred
