Quick Service Team Member

Job Summary:

Greet guests with a warm friendly smile, delivering exceptional guest experience and quality products. Maintain complete knowledge of menu, clean and maintain organized conditions of front counter, and other assigned duties. Must be able to operate a (POS) point of sale to accept payments. Receive and process payments by cash, credit cards, and other payment methods. Must have basic math skills, excellent customer service skills, be able to stand, bend, lift and/or walk duration of shift. Must always be properly dressed and maintain a clean, professional appearance when in the restaurant.



Reporting Relationship: Shift Supervisor/Manager - General Manager

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Adheres to safe and sanitary cleaning procedures according to Southern Nevada Health District standards.


• Deliver the ultimate guest service experience


• Adhere to all appearance and uniform standards.


• Cleans front of the house areas, as assigned. These areas include but are not limited to, floors, bar floors/mats, windows, trash cans and restrooms, prior to opening of the restaurant.


• Able to clearly and concisely communicate product knowledge and information to all guests.


• Take and prepare to-go orders.


• Maintain food storage and handling procedures


• Maintain food quality and nutritional standards


• Perform technical culinary food production, portion control with all ingredients, and service standards.


• Responsible for product and service standards.


• Maintain an open line of communication with Managers.


• Maintain a positive and professional demeanor during all interactions with guest, fellow Team Member.


• Responsible for balancing cash drawer and all the receipts.


• Foster an environment of team work.


• Assists all restaurant personnel in storing food, equipment, supply, small wares and other stock items received in the restaurant.


• Checks, removes and replaces full linen bags regularly throughout the shift.


• Must be able to operate food preparation machinery and stock of all supplies.


• Follow all company operations policies and procedures.


• Immediately reports any unsafe conditions, unsafe acts, accidents and/or injuries to the Chef or Manager-on-Duty.


• Ability to accept performance feedback in a professional manner.


• Regular attendance to all scheduled shifts is considered an essential function of the job.


• Arriving on-time for all scheduled shifts is considered an essential function of the job.


• Master each station within store.


• Other duties as assigned.

Education: High School diploma or general education degree (GED)

Qualifications and Required Experience:

• Must be 16 years of age or older


• Possession of /or ability to posses a Health card


• At least one-year experience with customer service in restaurant and cash handling preferred.


• Excellent knowledge of food preparation and fine dining cooking


• Must be able to perform in a fast-paced kitchen environment.


• Conversational English vocabulary


• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.


• Computer skills including some Microsoft software and register skills.


• Strong team-minded approach to fellow-workers.


• Primary food quality work ethic.


• Must be able to lift 30-40 lbs regularly throughout shifts


• Ability to stand, bend, reach and scoop through-out assigned shift


• Ability to be mobile in walk-in refrigerator and freezer with temperatures ranging
  
  from 40° F to -10° F

Minimum Qualifications:

• Position may require work on nights, weekends, and holidays.


• Ability to be flexible and to perform multiple tasks effectively.


• Friendly, open disposition and professional presentation.


• Open availability; must be able to work evenings, weekends and holidays.


• Ability to stand for long periods of time.

Work Conditions:

May require evening and weekend hours. While performing the duties of this job, the employee generally works in an indoor front of restaurant and kitchen environment with exposure to heat from ovens, hot foods and steamers and cleaning chemicals, fumes, equipment, and metal objects. You will usually be based indoors, splitting your time between the front of the restaurant and the kitchen. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate but may be loud dependent on specific work site and/or equipment operation.
