ChampionX is seeking a Senior Data Architect located in The Woodlands, TX or Sugar Land, TX. The Senior Data Architect will work closely with product managers and digital team members to understand the requirements and develop and deliver data analytics platform, creating common data model and transforming the data for presentation layers. Willing to understand the design and architecture of different applications data sources and dataflow to bring all the sources to a common platform.

What You Will Do:




  • Manage and drive the enterprise data lake solutioning projects as a data solution architect




  • Participate in and coordinate development of standard processes to support ongoing maintenance of enterprise data models, source to target, metadata repositories and business glossaries




  • Interact with product owners and/or business analysts in defining and managing data requirements




  • Coordinate, collaborate and innovate with digital team and product owners to ensure alignment of data architecture approach and information with ongoing systems activity and project implementation.




  • Utilize Azure compute services [Data Factory, Data Lake Store, Apache Spark, Synapse] to implement transformation logic and stage transformed data.




  • Curate, transform and aggregate data to create source models for end user analytics use cases.



  • Perform other duties as assigned


Basic Qualifications




  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or math with ten plus years of experience architecting and designing of data analytics platform.




  • Five years' experience in designing conceptual, logical, and physical data models using major enterprise data modeling tools in Azure cloud platform




  • Five years' experience in data quality engineering, data integration, repository management, data warehouse design and data mining, and data security.




  • Expert knowledge in writing DB queries (SQL).




  • Should be able to analyze and understand complex data




  • Good knowledge and experience of Microsoft Azure Platform including Azure Data Lake and Data factory




  • Experience working with data catalog tools. Good to have Azure Purview



  • Experience working with Azure Synapse


Preferred Qualifications




  • Experience in Oil and Gas business domain



  • Power BI experience is preferred.
