Job Description
ABOUT THE ROLE:
As Senior UX/UI Designer at Chameleon Software LLC, you'll be responsible for translating user insights into modern and intuitive experiences. Ultimately, you ll create both functional and visually appealing features that address our users' needs. You will use your creativity and eye for design along with your technical knowledge to develop great experiences. You'll work with the project manager and our development team. Together you'll deliver UI mockups, prototypes, MVPs, and final products. You will have direct impact on the customer's user-experience of our product. You will mentor and help the growth of less experienced designers in the team.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Gather and evaluate user requirements in collaboration with product managers and engineers
- Illustrate design ideas using storyboards, process flows and sitemaps
- Design graphic user interface elements
- Develop UI mockups and prototypes that clearly illustrate how sites function and look
- Create original graphic designs (e.g., images, sketches, and tables)
- Prepare and present rough drafts to internal teams and key stakeholders
- Identify and troubleshoot UX problems (e.g., responsiveness)
- Conduct layout adjustments based on user feedback
- Adhere to style standards on fonts, colors, and images
SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS:
- BSc in Design, Computer Science, or relevant field
- At least 5+ years professional design experience
- Excellent software engineering habits
- Comfortable with deploying to and managing Microsoft IIS
- Strong development experience with modern JS frameworks (Vue a plus)
- Experienced with REST/JSON API development and integration
- Ability to operate independently while establishing strong working relationships with co-workers and cross-functional teams
- Strong organizational and prioritization and time management skills
- Demonstrated critical attention to detail and deadlines, and is self-motivated
- Ability to adapt well to changes in direction and priorities in a project and deadline-oriented environment
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
- Permanent work authorization in the U.S. is required
- Mobile development/responsive design experience a plus
- Portfolio of design projects
- Azure DevOps experience a plus
- Proven work experience as a UI/UX Designer
- Knowledge of wireframe tools
