Corporate Philanthropy Specialist
SupplyHouse.com, an innovative e-commerce heating, plumbing, and HVAC supply company, is looking to add a Corporate Giving Specialist to our Human Resources Team!
This individual will be responsible for managing our corporate giving budget as well as coordinating our volunteer and philanthropic initiatives and events.
This is a hybrid-based role that will require the selected individual to work from our Melville, NY office headquarters up to 1 day per month.
This schedule can be flexible and will depend upon the giving strategy and initiatives that are developed by this individual.
Additionally, this position will require travel to our NY office headquarters for up to four times per year for internal meetings and team-building activities.
Location: Mostly remote from select states (Florida, Georgia, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, and Washington).
On-site at our Melville, NY headquarters up to one 1 day per month, plus will require travel to our headquarters an additional 4 times per year for internal meetings and team-building activities.
A company laptop and other necessary equipment will be provided along with a $250 stipend for your work from home space.
Schedule: Standard business hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
ET, however, you may utilize our Flex-Time Policy to work your preferred schedule.
Salary: $50,000-55,000/year
Responsibilities:
Enhance existing giving strategy by:
Researching and identifying new opportunities including, philanthropic initiatives and organizations to donate to
Collaborating with various Human Resources team members to determine if there are opportunities to implement philanthropic initiatives in existing programs
Developing and facilitating task forces for large corporate giving initiatives to allow SupplyHouse team members to contribute to the discussion and planning process
Organizing at least one in-person giving initiative near our headquarters per year
Refining the philanthropic opportunities that are presented to both remote and on-site team members
Staying informed about current events to determine if there are opportunities to donate for disaster or crisis relief
Manage and maintain existing corporate giving budget, calendar, and philanthropic initiatives
Handle the administration and documentation of all philanthropic related payments
Maintain clear, concise, and effective internal communications regarding corporate giving initiatives
Serve as the point of contact for all corporate giving and philanthropic initiatives
Represent the company in all activities associated with philanthropy and/or volunteerism in the community
Manage the donation application form and promote it as needed
Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree (Public Affairs, Social Impact, or a related field are preferred)
2+ years of experience in corporate giving, non-profit or volunteer work.
Ability to think strategically and execute with excellence
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to solicit and incorporate feedback
Superior interpersonal skills with proven expertise in building and enhancing relationships
Strong attention to detail, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Ability to take initiative and act independently to get things done
