Materials Management Supervisor

Responsibilities:

The task requirements of this position necessitate the ability of the incumbent to carry them out to the desired standard, whether or not reasonable modifications are made.

• Constructs and revises daily work routines that cater to the warehouse's needs.
• Guides and oversees the execution of tasks and job activities performed by direct reports, including their timing and location.
• Manages the daily intake of merchandise, and the selection and shipping of products to stores.
• Keeps an eye on inbound and outbound delivery processes to ensure compliance with prescribed standards.
• Creates strategies to optimize business performance and implements plans to achieve them.
• Articulates and clarifies work responsibilities and expected achievements to their direct subordinates to ensure a unified approach and the desired objective.
• The company's strategy is aimed at fostering a culture of teamwork and membership among employees, while also conveying its core values.
• Displays a great sense of teamwork and collaboration with peers, utilizing effective communication and information-sharing to meet warehouse management objectives collectively.

• Supervises, organizes, and oversees customary meetings for Warehouse Associates.
• Enables direct reports to enhance their skills and capabilities by providing diverse learning opportunities, coaching sessions, and mentorship programs, while encouraging an environment of continuous personal growth and development.
• Assesses and monitors workers' work performance, providing guidance and advice accordingly. Furthermore, an annual assessment of performance is done.
• Superintend the timely, efficient and precise storage of products, supplies and machines.
• Directs the activities of the warehouse team to ensure their adherence to food safety, sanitation, maintenance, and safety regulations and protocols.
• Ensures federal, state, and local compliance by overseeing overseas warehouse personnel.
• Administers and regulates manageable outlays; provides well-suited stock and efficacy assessments and makes necessary corrections to employee payroll.
• Guarantees the safety of individuals by identifying and correcting any hazards that may exist, implementing ergonomic standards, and making sure all equipment is in proper operating condition.
• Monitors direct reports to ensure they follow the established policies and procedures, which include, but are not limited to, the Employee Handbook, and Procedures Manuals.

Education and Experience:

The ideal candidate should possess a High School Diploma or its alternate equivalent.

Physical Requirements:

• The job frequently involves working in environments where the temperature can vary, ranging from hot to cold, and may include working outdoors or inside refrigerated areas.
• Expect to be engaged in various physical activities while working in this role, which includes always being on your feet, sitting, bending, reaching, gripping, pushing, pulling, lifting, carrying, and walking within the warehouse.
• The task of relocating and positioning items weighing up to 45 pounds onto pallets at various levels arises frequently.
