Unidine provides short-term and long term hospitality care, clinical and memory care and skilled nursing. But our senior living makes up the largest business in Undine. We're in 39 states with 120+ senior living , with over 950 clients. We make everything from scratch, and use fresh, locally sourced ingredients. We have in-room meal service and restaurant style dining for our residents. We provide exceptional customized dining experiences for our senior living communities.

We are currently seeking for an Executive Sous Chef for a prestigious, independent living community in Lacey, WA. Seeking an individual with Restaurant, hotel, and country club expereince.

  • What you'll be doing:


  • Be responsible for the successful operation of the Culinary Department for a facility.

  • You will assist in the supervision, preparation, and cooking of various food items, developing daily menu items and their preparation and garnishment.

  • Supervise hourly associates.

  • Produces and execute catering events.

  • Work with Executive Chef/Chef to develop and plan new menus

  • Assists the Executive Chef with managing cost controls and control expenditures for the account

  • Preferred Qualifications:


  • A.S. or equivalent experience

  • Some progressive culinary/kitchen management experience, depending upon formal degree or training

  • Catering experience a plus

  • High volume, complex foodservice operations experience - highly desirable

  • Institutional and batch cooking experiences helpful

  • Comprehensive knowledge of food and catering trends with a focus on quality, production, sanitation, food cost controls, and presentation

  • Must be experienced with computers; to include Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Power Point), Outlook, E-mail and the Internet

  • Must be willing to participate in client satisfaction programs/activities

  • ServSafe certified - highly desirable


Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 per year
