General Mills Brand Experience Platforms Product Team is looking for an experienced Associate Product Manager (internally known as a Sr Planner, BX Platforms) with a passion for creating unique and engaging customer-focused digital experiences. You will help define the future of our digital experiences by working collaboratively with teams across the organization.

In this role, you’ll be accountable for the strategy, execution, and management of BXP-managed brands and cross-portfolio websites including Ratio and other sites along with managing digital capabilities. This is a position with considerable accountability and ownership. This position includes strategy, campaign/creative and technical briefs, agile project execution, and vendor management. You will have the opportunity to build relationships and interface with stakeholders across a range of groups within the organization including our North American Marketing, Brand Experience, Data Strategy, and Data & Technology along with third-party technology vendors. The role provides exposure and learning in the areas of Strategy, Planning, External Partner Management, Communications, and Digital Products.


The immediate area of focus for this role will be in strategy, execution, and management for our Brand Experience Platforms Digital Products, and capabilities.

In addition, you will:

  • Defines the product roadmap, and product positioning working with the brand team for alignment

  • Lead prioritization of business requirements and roadmap features to define future product iterations and align with key partners.

  • Navigate intricate business and technology dependencies and communicates impacts.

  • Ability to lead one or more concurrent workstreams, leading the thinking around problem-solving approach and framework to solve the issue and minimize ambiguity.

  • Support in the design, development, and management of new and existing product features and digital capabilities.

  • Provide consultative support throughout product development and implementation.

  • Responsible for eliciting, specifying, verifying, and managing the business needs of the brand stakeholders and end users to translate into new product features/capabilities and requirements.

  • Analyzes market and competition data to create digital products to match and surpass current industry standards

  • Creates, maintains and adjusts the product-line-level strategy and production schedules. Works closely with technical team Technical Product Manager/Project Manager.

  • Write technical briefs and requirements for relevant product updates or enhancements for areas of ownership. Validates' products meet requirements.

  • Oversees product throughout the product lifecycle.

  • Partner cross-functionally and serve as a liaison by leading internal teams, agencies, and vendors in support of managed websites/capabilities while working in an agile environment.

  • Support QA, UAT, and customer service inquiries serving as a key point of contact for reported inquiries, and bug submissions related to areas of ownership.

  • Manage digital performance monitoring, data reporting, analysis, and insights for related areas of ownership and the websites overall.

  • Serve as point of contact and primary connection with Brand, BXP team, technical teams, and external vendors.


  • 3+ years of digital product management or product development

  • Experience in delivering from concept to implementation in an Agile environment

  • Technical background and understanding of software development principles

  • Curiosity to ask the right questions, assess tradeoffs and risks, gain buy-in, make an informed decision, and support that decision with effective problem-solving.

  • Able to translate written or spoken ideas into concepts and detailed requirements

  • Excellent presentation skills and the ability to articulate the pros/cons of solutions

  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple simultaneous projects, priorities, schedules, and deliverables

  • Strong collaboration skills with fellow designers, developers, and cross-functional partners

  • Experience managing third-party vendors

  • Proactive leadership in identifying new opportunities and in managing day-to-day operations


  • 5+ years of experience in data-driven digital marketing or product management for large consumer brands, a technology company

  • Strong product management background building consumer websites

  • Passion for digital thinking, innovation, and ideation

  • Knowledge of Agile values/concepts required, Agile training/certification

  • Demonstrated solutions-based thinking with the ability to break down complex concepts into understandable, smaller, and sequential deliverables.

  • Strong influencing skills to guide leadership, Business Architects, Business Analysis, Marketing/Brand Teams, and all stakeholders to understand vision, resources, priorities, and definition of completion/release.

  • Software skills including use of Microsoft Office, web-based applications, confluence, and Jira experience.
